Brainport Network is the economic program in the Southeast of the Netherlands. Its connects regional networks, the origins of each of which lie in the close cooperation between government, industry and knowledge institutions – what is known as the ‘triple helix’. The result is one large ‘network of networks’ with short lines for bringing together and gathering knowledge about economic development. The network partners have plenty of contact with one another and this results in joint action. The theme Capital is one of the three pillars of Brainport Network. Access to capital for innovative businesses with growth potential is essential to the growth of the economy and employment.
