The Tech Tour China-EU Sustainability Programme is organised by Tech Tour in collaboration with the City of Wuxi to foster cooperation, establish partnerships, and explore collaboration opportunities for key stakeholders of the European and Chinese investment landscape in the sustainability sector.

- Investment and partnership: Selected growth companies in Renewable Energy, Hydrogen, Transport and Mobility, Smart City, Low carbon technology decarbonization seeking to scale or looking for partnerships in China, including those European companies who have presence in China;
- Over 70 additional investors, corporate, cluster, and expert guests taking part in the online pitching sessions;
- Programme with 2 online roundtables starting with the Kick-off and Institutional Roundtable followed by 2 sector-specific ones during the months of October and November 2023;
- Selection or invitation-only for the best entrepreneurs and most active investors, corporations and governmental experts.

Why taking part?
The Tech Tour China-EU Sustainability Investment Programme is promoted by the City of Wuxi and its local financial supervision and administration bureau, and the Wuxi Fund Park.
The City of Wuxi, 120 km west to Shanghai (28 minutes from Shanghai Hongqiao Station with high speed railway), was the birthplace of Chinese indigenous industries in the late 1890s and now ranks No. 1 in terms of GDP per capita in China. The city has a total population of 6.5 million, and it quite robust in economic growth. Over 110 Fortune Forbes 500 companies have established subsidiaries in Wuxi. The city of Wuxi is also the home of about 190 public companies listed in China, Singapore and New York, and entrepreneurship and innovation in sustainability is well encouraged and quite vigorous in the area.
In recent years has become one of the most popular cities in China for VC/PE investment, with the majority of the leading Chinese Investment firms active in Wuxi. Since 2022, many international investment firms such as IDG Capital, Coller Capital, Warburg Pincus, Redpoint have registered investment funds. AstraZeneca launched a 1 billion USD innovation fund in Wuxi in 2021.

The Tech Tour China-EU Sustainability Programme includes 2 Institutional Roundtables intended to be an exchange where both European and local industry clusters and active investors present their organisations and discuss key industry trends and opportunities for partnerships, and where growth entrepreneurs present their projects in the sustainability sector.
