Overview
From October 13th to October 14th some 100 leading investors in European high-tech companies will convene in Barcelona to address the most pressing issues affecting partner level individuals in corporate and independent venture capital firms.
This summit level meeting, an initiative of the
International Venture Club, has been designed by leading investors, weary of formulaic panels and keynote conferences, in the simple belief that senior and seasoned investors have a real need to come together, to speak and to listen, in short to collaborate.
Through this spirt of trust and collaboration investors attending Smart Capital 2015 will deep dive, via facilitated breakout sessions, into core issues challenging senior practitioners:
- Building and managing effective syndicates of international investors
- Company board selection & management
- Sustaining an international VC operation
- Fundraising Masterclass - supported by EVFIN
- Performance measurement in corporate venture
- Optimal exit routes and managing the process
This collaborative process will also be applied to deal opportunities with significant time dedicated to present deal opportunities and build syndicates – not just in theory but in practice.
The social activities and dinners are designed to be informal (and elegant) taking advantage of the very best that Barcelona has to offer.
Given the format places at Smart Capital 2015 are extremely limited, with priority going to members of the International Venture Club.
