EVC Semi-Final Energy Horsens

The European Venture Contest Semi-Final Energy Horsenswill bring together 30 promising startups active in the field of  renewable energy. By means of a presentation they will showcase their groundbreaking technology in front of a jury consisting out of business angels, venture capitalists, corporate investors and other industry experts.

The Top 25% will get the opportunity to take part in the Nordic Venture Forum and the European Venture Summit!

Specifically, start-ups in the following 3 areas will be selected to present:

Energy production from sustainable sources

• Solar
• Wind
• Wave
• Geothermal
• Biogas, biomass, biofuels

Energy infrastructure and distribution

• Electric vehicles
• District energy (heating and cooling)
• Smartgrids, intelligent electricity grids

Energy efficiency and storage

• Sensors and measurement equipment
• HVAC Components (Heating, Ventilation, Air-Con)
• Lighting
• Fuel cells and batteries
• Heat storage and heat pumps

On October 23, early- and later stage companies looking for funding or partnering will merge on Horsens, Denmark to compete for a spot in the EVC Final, where the best25 high-tech companies in the fields of Information Communications Technologies, Clean Technologies and Life Sciences from across Europe.
