KIC-Europe (Korea Research & Innovation Centre – Europe) was established in November 2013 as the first Research & Innovation Centre in Brussels, to make an integrated cooperation organization to collect and distribute relevant information and to build up networks in research and innovation between Korea and the EU.

The KIC main objectives are as follows:

- Policy development between Korea and the EU
- Establishment of an R&D cooperation platform
- Innovation cooperation for SMEs, enterprises, etc.

KIC-Europe (Korea Research & Innovation Centre – Europe)  ultimate objective is to encourage European and Korean startups and SMEs to expand into Korea or the EU. KIC brings support to the most innovative startups and SMEs by helping them find local/regional mentors or investors and establish their business in both ends of the world. KIC supports technology transfer between Korean and European academic institutions, researchers and scientists who are willing to bring their innovations to fruition.
