 For a real taste of the past, pay a visit to the Ancient Roman Agora, which dates back more than 2,300 years, or to Thessaloniki's 'Little Palace' (Kyvernion), once a favourite haunt of the Greek monarchy. Other major landmarks worth a look in city is The Museum of Ancient Greek and Byzantine Instruments which is one of Thessaloniki 's most unusual attractions and boasts a large collection of musical instruments, from antiquity, right up to the 19th century. There are over 20 museums in Thessaloniki, ranging from history & art museums to war museum, water works museum, the only photography museum in Greece , railway museum and music museum.   • Chalkidiki with its sunny golden beaches, deep and picturesque gulfs, modern tourist resorts and small islands and sheltered bays,
  • Mount Athos which is the centre of Eastern Christian Orthodox Monasticism. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, it is a treasury which houses and guards many artefacts and monuments of religions, national and artistic value,
  • Mount Olympos which is Greece's highest mountain and the home of Gods according to Greek mythology,
  • Vergina, where is the Royal tomb of Philip II, father of Alexander the Great,  and
  • Kaimaktsalan Ski Resort from where the view is amazing, since you can see as far as Thermaikos Gulf , the peak of Mt. Olympos and lake Vegoritida .
