40 potential unicorns in healthtech (selected from more than 160 top-level companies from 25 counties) will have direct contact to innovation drivers from Europe, and foster vital relationships with 80+ international investors and corporate partners in interactive sessions and networking events at the Tech Tour 2018 Healthtech Summit, taking place on the 25-27 of June in Lausanne, Switzerland.

This is the 9th edition of the Summit and since first launching in 2008 HTS companies have raised over €1.3 billion in private funding, in addition to €540 million in M&A with many companies acquired by Tech Tour community members who participated in the events. Total IPO has doubled each year since 2008 and is currently valued at €182 million. The biggest success stories to date include MindMaze, who raised €100 million and went on to become Switzerland’s first unicorn. Sapiens Steering Brain Stimulation who presented in 2015 were acquired by Medtronic for €200 million. Medopad presented in 2016 and raised €23 million as part of a €98 million funding round closing in 2018. Other companies include Endosense, acquired by St. June Medical for €171 million and Symetis, acquired by Boston Scientific for €408 million.
